Meet the dynamic duo that makes up bowling party
JUSTIN MA is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, and helmet enthusiast who graduated from NYU with a degree in Music Composition, and has only ever won one award ever (participation trophies excluded). He has a propensity for complaining about proper engraving in scores, even though he is always endlessly grateful for being provided charts // written music at all in preparation for any gig. He has a background in keys and guitar, though has become primarily a bassist these days due to the forces of Keynesian economics.

Sleep To Dream - Duck! (Bass)
Fate - Alana Spencer (Bass)
Younger - Cold Brew (Drums)
Seasons/Psych Major - Kate Jacobs (Guitar)
Kate Jacobs is a musician, songwriter, and sound designer who's entire taste in music comes from the setlist of LEGO Rock Band (2009). She graduated from NYU songwriting and plays drums + guitar, and maybe a little bass but only if Justin really can't make it. Kate loves shoving acoustic guitar into rock songs where it probably doesn't belong and is forever striving for Fountains-of-Wayne-Level lyricism (the Stacy's Mom guys). She also makes sound effects for video games, pew pew bang bang and all that.

DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT, TRUST OTHER STRANGERS!
Kate and Justin are, of course, amazingly talented and versatile musicians, but what sets them apart in a live or recorded setting is their care and dedication to the music. Few musicians match their understanding of what artists they’re working with are looking to accomplish and they are enthusiastic about helping achieve that vision.

Justin and Kate are amazing, thoughtful musicians that I’m lucky to be able to work with! Not only are they incredibly smart and skilled, but they also enjoy experimenting with new ideas sonically — which makes for an environment that fosters creativity and helps bring my vision to life. When they show up to rehearsals, they show up prepared and excited to find an arrangement that feels right. They’ve been a part of countless live shows with me, and it’s been a blast every time.
